Ibiza in 4 Days

It's IBIZA!
My best friend and i spontaneously booked a short trip to Ibiza and it was 4 days of tanning on beaches and a couple of late nights in Ibiza's famed Pacha club. It was amazing and I want to go back right now :(

ACCOMMODATION:

We were deciding where to stay between Ibiza town, San Antonio and Playa en Bossa and decided on Ibiza town because I'd heard the beaches at SA were far apart from each other and Playa was just a party beach plus Ibiza Town was in a pretty central location- the truth to all this info i've yet to confirm because we didn't quite explore much of SA and Playa.
Ibiza Town however didn't disappoint at all because it had a beautiful beach, plenty of good restaurants and the perfect ambience for any kind of tourist.

We stayed at the Lux Mar for 3 nights and paid about 97 euros for 2 people, which is a great deal considering that Ibiza is pretty expensive. The Lux Mar was more than enough for us, it was hugeeee. We had a bedroom, a living/dining room, a small kitchen area, a bathroom and a balcony facing (sort of) the sea.
Within the vicinity there are super marts, restaurants, and pretty much anything you'll need. The nearest beach is a 5 minute walk.

Just sneaking in one of my favourite pictures of the trip hehe.

One of the super marts near the hotel. Alcohol's cheap, they even have many different kinds of cocktail mixers. To save money on food, we would come here early in the morning, get a long roll of bread, some smoked salmon and ham and pack it in our bags as lunch for when we get to the beach.

The stroll to the beach is easy, and there are great cafes along the way too, serving cocktail jugs for 6 euros all day long.

This hippie looking cafe was really tempting but we never really got a chance to sit down for a drink

We visited a different beach each day because why not, we had 3.5 days and wanted to cover as much as we could.
Note: I realised the beach culture in Ibiza is pretty liberal. We found booby tanning everywhere we went, even the more "family" friendly ones.

BEACH #1: IBIZA TOWN

The beach in Ibiza town is edged right along the streets so it was really convenient if we needed to run to the bathroom or grab a bottle of ice water.
PICTURE: SUN, SAND, A COLD DIP IN THE WATER WHEN IT GETS TOO HOT.
Ahhhhhhh...it was perfect.

BEACH #2: I FORGOT WHERE

We walked 20 minutes to a bus stop, took 10 minutes to figure out which bus to take, and then another 30 - 40 minutes on the bus to get HERE.
When we first arrived, the clouds were dark and it looked like it was about to rain. I was so mad and disappointed but we didn't let it affect us. We still rolled out our towels, and took off our tops in that cold weather, stubbornly trying to pretend like there was a sun and we were going to have a good time anyway. Which we did in the end!!!!! Because the sun decided it wasn't as stubborn as us, and it came out for a few good hours.

This beach was so peaceful, and quiet, away from everything else, literally because it's in the middle of nowhere.

I'm so glad I brought the go pro along. My brother was pretty sure I would lose it or spoil it, but look at these pretty pictures we managed to take!!!! Also I kept using it to try and taking photo of nudies hahahaha.

The only building that landmarked this place was this beautiful cafe overlooking the cliff. Also there was a very handsome fine man working here who was watering flowers and talking about peace lol.

BEACH #3: LAS SALINAS

This was apparently some famous beach that Claire suggested we go to. It was easier to go, i think we took a bus to Ibiza town, and then like a cab or smth I can't remember lol.

Whereever you go on the beach, whichever beach it is, there will be many people asking you to go on boat tours or party boats or whatever. They seemed like pretty good deals, don't think they were fake or anything. But we were quite broke at that time, and didn't really have time anyway, so we passed. But I would have liked to try it out, maybe next time!

This was my favourite meal in Ibiza hehehehe. Some sort of beef pasta or whatever type of pasta that is. IT WAS GREAT, and relatively cheaper than everything else.

Because we went before the summer partying season began, we didn't party much. We managed to get tickets for Pacha Ibiza club, and Steve Aoki was playing that night. But cos we spent so much time tanning in the day and doing whatever else, we were so tired we couldn't wait for Aoki and left at like 2plus am LOL Damn lame but OLD ALREADY LA.

I really enjoyed Ibiza :))))))))))) All the more because i was with such great company. TILL NEXT TIME!

London in 2 days

I was actually in London for 4.5 days but the things I did could have been covered in 2 so there. I MISS LONDON ALREADY, I feel like if given a choice I could live there and fall in love with the place even more

DAY ONE:

Dropped by this adorable bakery- The Hummingbird Bakery and got myself a grand total of 2 cupcakes- red velvet and salted caramel. They were bout 2+ pounds each or so i can't remember.
Salted caramel's definitely better than the red velvet.

CAKES CAKES CAKES. Something red flashes in my mind when i see cakes, i just get super excited and want to eat all of them. But 10 seconds later my sanity prevails and I pull myself away :( Very wise choice though.

Shopped along Oxford street cos no girl would miss this for the world. Singapore has HNM too but for some reason, the clothes I tried on in 2 of the 5 HNMs along this street looked way better on me than in Singapore so i bought my fill. If you don't convert, everything sounds better in pounds lol.
On my first day in London, I got lucky with good weather so the pictures make London a lot more cheerful than it usually is.

WHERE EVER YOU STAY IN LONDON, GO TO WAHACA.
It serves delicious Mexican food and reasonably priced cocktails.

JUST LOOK AT THAT. My friend had this CRAZY tasty bowl of salad: Avocado, pumpkin seeds, beans, lettuce in a deep fried crispy tortilla bowl with chargrilled beef. 8.50 pounds - WORTH IT OR WHAT

I had the slow cooked pork burrito (with onions and chillies) for dinner, 6.95 pounds. DAMN NICE,  it was a little spicy, which I loved, and really filling.

DAY TWO:
Visited the touristy areas everyone goes to.

The Birmingham palace change of guards or wtv it was supposed to be was a huge waste of time, saw nothing at all and was just constantly worried my bag would be pick pocketed cos the guards warned us about it.

Some random pics of London while walking around. WALKING is something I realised i don't do anymore in singapore because it's just too bloody hot. The weather makes you physically so tired before 3pm you just can't. I CAN'T. Especially when you live on a street that has so many cabs all the time.....I just can't even walk to the bus stop anymore lol.

London Eye

Big Ben

Tower of London

So there, I'm obviously not very impressed by man-made attractions but nevertheless, i liked walking to these places and accompanying my parents while they re-visited these sites after 25 years.

I miss London :( for it's weather, for it's faded charm.
SEE YOU AGAIN MY  PULLED PORK SOUP AT PRET-A-MANGER.
